{"id":593,"date":"2024-11-13T14:00:03","date_gmt":"2024-11-13T14:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/?post_type=episode_posts&#038;p=593"},"modified":"2024-11-17T14:46:51","modified_gmt":"2024-11-17T14:46:51","slug":"episode-17-closure-and-resurrection","status":"publish","type":"episode_posts","link":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/?episode_posts=episode-17-closure-and-resurrection","title":{"rendered":"Episode 17: Closure and Resurrection"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Closure and Resurrection<\/h4>\n<p>Still resonating with my experience in the tunnels of Ravne, I left Sarajevo and got ready for the whirlwind I sensed was ahead.\u00a0 I came back with a strong cough and a fever which I had caught from my hours in close proximity to Vesna, who had suffered through most of the week.<\/p>\n<p>Ten days later we held a commemorative concert in Thonon for the ten-year anniversary of Ronald\u2019s death.\u00a0 Again, Francois was with me, aware now that this was likely to be the farewell concert.\u00a0 I had lost my voice and still had a bit of a temperature, aware of my too shiny cheeks.\u00a0 A group of friends had climbed the three flights of stairs.\u00a0 I looked around at their faces, some of whom had been at the heart-opening wake we\u2019d held two weeks after the plane had disappeared.\u00a0 Now, ten years later, they had more difficulty, knees and hips having been replaced in some of them in the interim.\u00a0 We were all aware of the absence of other friends who had since also departed.\u00a0 I was aware of our mortality.\u00a0 But also of our immortality.<\/p>\n<p>I was seated at my piano, Francois with his cello, and a melody started to grow between the two of us.\u00a0 It felt magical and later a friend had captured a small video on her phone and indeed it was.<\/p>\n<p>Searching through emails, cards and letters from that time ten years earlier, I\u2019d come across a short poem which a friend Sheila, with whom I\u2019d traveled to Konya and now lost contact with, had translated from the German.\u00a0 I am still researching the author of \u2018An der Grenze\u2019 (At the Edge), and\u00a0\u00a0 I whispered it to my assembled friends, my voice coming and going.<\/p>\n<p><em>If you have to go through a mined field<br \/>\n<\/em><em>Take a handful of seeds with you<br \/>\n<\/em><em>Marigolds and Poppies\u00a0 (I added Sunflowers)<br \/>\n<\/em><em>For your resurrection<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And then Francois moved across to the piano and improvised on these words, powerfully.\u00a0 The late light streaming through into Lumi\u00e9re du Lac rendered the lake platinum while the sun sent powerful rays through the shimmering clouds.<\/p>\n<p>An exquisite commemoration and farewell concert.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">***<\/p>\n<p>Another ten days later I collected Judy from Geneva airport and brought her to Thonon and up the stairs to the apartment.\u00a0 I stayed the first night in the guest room and in the morning we went up to the small village at the top of the rue du Funiculaire.\u00a0 A long planning work session ensued with mugs of spiced tea as we talked through ideas for the symposium on the Sound of Light and what she required.<\/p>\n<p>One item included a four-hour recording session at a studio en route to Leysin, as she was using the week in my apartment to develop a five-week programme which she would be offering on her return to New Zealand.\u00a0 She also said she\u2019d like me to allow my music to come through on the grand piano which we\u2019d hired for the duration of the symposium.<\/p>\n<p>Judy asked that I return for the evening of 31st May, before the anniversary of Ronald\u2019s death on June \u2013 also our 36th wedding anniversary.\u00a0 She knew I regularly spent these times in my apartment with my piano and wanted me not to make an exception this particular year.\u00a0 I was grateful as this was to be the final one since I had now decided to sell Lumi\u00e9re du Lac, and I needed this closure.<\/p>\n<p>She prepared a delicious supper as we shared the beauty looking out over the lake and another exquisite sunset.\u00a0 And then she offered me a \u2018reading\u2019, where Ronald was able to come through and communicate with me.<\/p>\n<p>Many things. He said he is still \u2018the ears to my music\u2019.\u00a0 So of course, I went down to my piano after our meal to communicate with him.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, June 2019, was our 36th anniversary and I took Judy to a favorite restaurant Ronald and I had frequented since we had arrived in Thonon-les-Bains twenty years earlier.\u00a0 We\u2019d celebrated his 50th birthday at the <em>Auberge d\u2019Anthy <\/em>and mine a year later.\u00a0 Madame is always welcoming as I\u2019ve continued to go for the fresh <em>perches du lac,<\/em> which they catch themselves in season from a small fishing boat.<\/p>\n<p>Judy Satori is an exceptional human being, having spent 22 years merging Science with Spirituality.\u00a0 Her frequency is so high, I imagine a very wide band width, that beings in other dimensions and star systems can connect with it.\u00a0 It\u2019s like fine-tuning a radio and suddenly finding a programme.\u00a0 She is a conduit, allowing extremely high frequencies to be stepped down so we can access the information.<\/p>\n<p>So, Ronald could tune in and reach me as I sat at the small outside table, familiar menu and wine in front of me.\u00a0 At one point, I saw tears on Judy\u2019s cheeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These are not my emotions, Marilyn.<\/p>\n<p>This is Ronald\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>In this unusual way we were able to \u2018celebrate\u2019 our 36 years and it was the greatest gift I could have received.\u00a0 To know that he\u2019s been with me \u2018every step of my way\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>I have given my piano to Sev\u00e9rine and her family.\u00a0 It will remain in the apartment where it belongs, along with the pot plant Ronald planted which now reaches the ceiling in the double volume.\u00a0 I don\u2019t see myself returning after I remove my final few possessions.<\/p>\n<p>A chapter in the story of Love on my Soul\u2019s Journey has drawn to a close.<\/p>\n<p>With Love and Gratitude<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The final episode concludes this chapter in the story of Love on my Soul&#8217;s journey, which I have shared with you over the four parts of this memoir.<br \/>\nWith gratitude for walking the path with me.. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":594,"template":"","categories":[11],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-593","episode_posts","type-episode_posts","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-part-4-aftermath-and-afterlife"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/episode_posts\/593","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/episode_posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/episode_posts"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/media\/594"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=593"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=593"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/mylisteningheart.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=593"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
