An extraordinary dream, which is multi-layered… and took several subsequent experiences for me to begin to understand its messages.

Dream – Now Get To Know Yourself

I am in the wooden-paneled compartment of a train, one that carried six passengers, three on either side.  It’s not a sleeper, no upper bunks.  It’s an old Italian train, and the countryside is flashing past the window.  It feels like summer.

I am on one side, seated at the door.  To open, it would need to slide back towards my seat.  Ronald is seated diagonally across from me, at the window.  He is reading a newspaper.  Figaro?  Perhaps.  We are alone and the door is closed.

My feelings, as I sit here on the edge of my seat, are indescribable!  But I will try to put them into words.  I am so excited I can hardly contain this feeling of anticipation…  I am wriggling, sitting on my hands.  I cannot concentrate on anything other than this waiting.  I sigh loudly and Ronald glances up from his paper, looking at me from behind his horn-rimmed glasses.

“Be patient” says the look, or maybe he says the words… and then he says, “He will come”.

It feels as though I am waiting for my lover.  That impossible feeling; when time is excruciatingly slow and the minute hand does not move.  Yet we are moving quickly through the countryside which looks like the Tuscany.?  I am breathless.

All of a sudden, the sliding door starts to open towards me and a person enters and faces me, looking down at me looking up at him.  I see the long black cape or cloak,  like a conductor’s, and notice the dark hair taken back in a short pony tail.  The profile is strong; a swarthy handsome face, with a high forehead and striking eyes. A mixture of Al Pacino and Ronald!

And then he leans forward and is on me and over me, like a layer, melting into me.

The feeling is like being wrapped in a warm, sensual cloak.  It feels familiar.  We are merging together like thick liquid, every part of our beings.  Except my face.  My face and head are still separate from him.  His face and head seem to be behind and over my left shoulder.  The rest of ‘him’ has melted onto, into my very being.

My face, however, is still turned to Ronald seated across from me –-now us –  quietly witnessing this extraordinary alchemical event.  I can feel my eyes seeking out his.  Slowly, he puts down his newspaper, folds it and gets up.  As he steps past me, he pauses and looks long and deeply penetrating into my eyes.

“Take your time” he says very slowly, with gravitas.  “Now… Get to know Your Self”

And he steps out into the corridor and gently slides the door closed behind him.

I believe this powerful dream took place in August 2005, back in Thonon les Bains after I returned from a two week visit to Russia, having met up with Ronald in Moscow.
