The third part of my memoirs covers the ebbs and flows of life following the death of my mother. A roller coaster of emotions is described in the first three episodes as my Soul guided me through intense but enriching experiences in a music improvisation festival in Switzerland and a pilgrimage to Konya, Turkey. My action in response to Ronald’s message ‘Go and Grow’ is shared in Episode 4, where some remarkable people who have influenced my path are remembered, and a number of subsequent episodes reveal further actions. A powerful encounter with Ayahuasca, the wisdom plant teacher, served as my introduction to the plant kingdom, and further self-knowledge and this experience is described in great detail in Episode 5. As listeners or readers, please put your rational minds on hold as the material unfolds and I gain further insight into my Soul’s purpose and share it with you (Episodes 6 and 7). With my 58th birthday, life takes a clearer direction and I make a conscious attempt to ‘cut the cords’ – the energetic bonds which keep us emotionally linked to people or places (Episodes 8 and 9). A memorable night under the desert skies in Egypt is described in Episode 10 and included here as I don’t wish to forget the experience. The pace quickens from Episode 11 with my meeting J, a potential ‘deep listening’ partner, who played a key role in my life as dramatic events unfolded. The disappearance of the Air France plane from Rio to Paris, with Ronald on board, and the aftermath is described in Episode 12. The profound Memorial for Peace ceremony held in Geneva in Ronald’s memory is shared in Episode 13, with a link to the presentation.
In the altered state I found myself in, my music evolved and took on a new quality. I was also able to share aspects of my Soul’s musical longing with a deep listening partner. Episodes 14 and 15 describe the development of this collaboration and the process of recording seven hours of my spontaneous music in France over a seven day/night period.
I write about the waiting, waiting and my feelings as the plane wreckage was found two years later in Episode 16. ‘Au Revoir’ as the final episode 17, concludes this third part.
